Joel Murray

Joel Murray passed away on October 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, Ca. He is survived by his wife, Suzane, nee Klemper, daughter, Lisa; stepchildren, Eliegey and Barkley; and brother, Marvin (Sandra). Mr. Murray was a prominent criminal defense and trial lawyer in Chicago in the 1960s and 1970s and represented defendants in many high profile state and federal criminal cases. He served in the 1980s as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Simmons Airlines. Visitation Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m., at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 W. Chicago Avenue. Felix G. Padlan Jr.

Felix G. Padlan, Jr., age 69, of Chicago and Pangasinan, Philippines, husband of Dr. Cristina; beloved and devoted father of Christine Padlan Bagen; loving brother of Nellie P. Angeles, Luz P. Banez and Mariano Padlan; several nieces and nephews; beloved son of the late Felix Padlan Sr. and the late Isabel deGuzman Padlan. An alumnus of the University of the Philippines, Felix was a Chemical Engineer and worked as a private investor and in real estate for many years. He was active at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago and the UP Alumni Association. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 9 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 W. Chicago Ave. and Thursday, 6:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 7 p.m. at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St. Interment private.
