Age 45, received her Master's of Social Work from UIC, loving mother of Helena Baez; dear daughter of Rose-Anne Aceret and Ronald Romberg; fond sister of Michael (Tina) and sister-in-law of Sandra Baez Luque; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Katherine, and Julio C. Baez. Visitation Friday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 W. Although, I did not know Kathryn Romberg personally, she is still a part of our DCFS family.
I am praying that the family will stay encouraged during this time of bereavement. May the Lord comfort and guide you at all times.

Kathryn will truly be missed by her direct team at DCFS. There is a huge void on our unit as we struggle to pick up the pieces. It is definitely a loss for the thousands of children that she helped to protect by her tenacious supervision. We find comfort in knowing that "Wherever You Are Kathryn, GOD IS!"
